Nick Weaver is a dance artist currently based in Hannover, Germany. He holds a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah, where he was the recipient of the Steve Koester Award for choreographic excellence and rigorous studio practice. He is a currently a guest dancer with the new ensemble of the Schauspiel Hannover. Nick has danced for the Ballett Sorbisches National-Ensemble (DE), DART Dance Company (DE), Shaun Keylock Company (US), and the Portland Opera (US). As a freelance artist, he has performed for Deseret Experimental Opera (US) and MŁYN Open Space (PL). Nick was a 2022/23 teaching artist for NW Dance Project among other studios and organizations in the Western United States. He has performed works by Jiri Pokorny, Mike Tyus, Falk Richter, Daniel Clifton and Satu Hummasti, Eric Handman, and Kellie St. Pierre. He has presented his own work with Queer Spectra Arts Festival, Deseret Experimental Opera, Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Sugar Space Warehouse, and the Salt Lake City Urban Arts Festival.
